Just Because My Hair Is Wet

Actually, I have a couple of things I wanted to blog on like the Spa-Lon blogger session as well as my alumni dinner which just happened. Just because my hair is going to dry soon, just because I don't feel like editing the photos now.

So, I shall touch on one tiny little thing that got quite a number of Singapore irate.

This was the article back in 2009.

Let's fast forward to 50 years later...

Oh wait! I recognize this place. Didn't change that much did it ?
OH! You meant this happen on Jun 5 2011 ?
2011-2009 = 2 years.
Hmm. Ok wow. Clearly I am moving too slow.

I honestly thought this picture was from Malaysia or something.
Photo from ST that took it from somewhere

To top it off...

We have a minister who is a Dr. by the way asking that bimbotic question. Had there not been any conferences or submits urging each countries to lower carbon emission - one of the perpetrators of global warming? He went on to explained the process of condensation and evaporation very clearly (thank god for secondary school education). Wow. Has. The. Weather. Changed.

Not. Easy. To. Answer.

Wow.

Clearly my brain works totally on a different (lower) level.

I think what's more cek ark is the weak attempt to stop people from bombarding PUB.
I mean really, you have to praise your staff? At times like these when it clearly showed otherwise?
People will always remember the bad things. It's even written as a trend in psychology books, so don't even try to make people think otherwise. It's just like us remembering how busted you were over YOG budget, and that "how much do you want, where do you want to eat" question you asked in 2007. We remember.  If that's not drilling into your head, again, WE REMEMBER.

But I supposed none of these can beat that.
What nature throws at us.
Nature threw only 77mm of water in half hour at us.

Nature threw more than god knows how many galleons of water at Japan.
PM Kan (regardless of how highly unpopular he is now) have the SENSE not to say some nonsense like this.
There is a limit to human engineering? Then indeed our limit is really very low, for we cant effing prevent a flood from happening. When people are dealing with earthquakes, tsunami, nuclear issues... look at this...wait for it... ALL AT ONCE.

I think you don't even need a PhD to tell that when you raised roads somewhere, the water is going to flow ELSEWHERE.

Someone in the party once mentioned that we should follow how "stoic" Japanese people reacted on the back of that worst post-war crisis.
PM Kan is quitting, will this happen in Singapore?

For once I am glad that Singapore has
1) High rise building. It's not likely that the water will seep into my house
2) Broadband- because that way I can do my shopping online.

The next thing you will see will be people opting to drive 4WD here because the government just mentioned that it is costly to prevent such floods from happening.

Maybe the heavens is helping Singapore, trying to eradicate ministers that it doesn't like in its own way. Hmm.
